This role encompasses both heavy mechanical repairs and metal fabrication to refurbish and repair emergency vehicles. The fabrication side of this role is great for someone looking to build/create new things every day as no jobs are ever exactly the same.This is a very niche market but heavy demand and large company growth on the horizon! Pay rate listed may be flexible out of the range based on relevant experience.JOB DESCRIPTION:

Mechanical troubleshooting of large machinery. Will repair or replace damaged bearings, shafts, motors, pumps, and engines.

Metal fabrication and body work of vehicles. Siding, bumpers, cargo attachments, and mounts are mainly made from aluminum and stainless steel parts.

Use of scrap or sheets of new metal to refurbish parts. Most pieces are 8inch - quarter inch thick.

Building stainless steel plumbing systems from pipe components.

Ability to meet customer deadlines.

Blueprint reading to ensure customer specifications are upheld.

Metal fabrication and welding of stainless steel and aluminum components. Must be able to utilize blueprints or shop drawings to repair or create replacement vehicle components.

Use of shop machinery including shears, presses, benders, rollers, etc. These are mainly manual machines. Use of shop welders and torches.

Any welding style and fabrication experience may be accepted, but must be experienced. Can train on TIG welding if employee has experience with the welding fundamentals in other processes such as MIG or Stick.

Shift: Day Shift

Monday- Thursday, 6am - 4:30pm + Optional OT on Fridays

Pay : $25-$45QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience with TIG welding is ideal but any welding and fabrication experience is acceptable.

Must be able to fit and fabricate metal parts.

Mechanical Troubleshooting.

Blueprint Reading.

Experience on industrial machinery in either an industrial plant setting or with large rolling machines.
