Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Purchasing Clerk in Hillsboro, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, performing data entry tasks, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a smooth procurement process and supporting our client's operational needs.Key Responsibilities:

Create, process, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Monitor order statuses and follow up with vendors to address any delays or discrepancies.

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receipts, and related documentation.

Accurately enter and update purchase order information and vendor details into the company’s procurement system.

Verify and reconcile purchase order data against invoices and delivery receipts.

Assist in generating reports and analyzing procurement data to support decision-making.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure effective communication and service.

Assist in resolving any issues or disputes with vendors in a timely manner.

Provide general administrative support to the procurement team, including filing, document management, and correspondence.

Assist with the preparation of procurement-related documents and reports.

Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.

Assist in auditing purchase records and processes to maintain compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.

Proven experience in a purchasing or administrative role.

Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for vendor interactions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with procurement software or ERP systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
