JOB DESCRIPTION:

A busy brewpub in Klamath Falls is seeking an exceptional person to serve as General Manager. This person should understand the craft beer environment and have the leadership skills to advance our team in crafting an outstanding dining experience. The GM is tasked with directing and administering activities for our brewpub that deliver outstanding guest service and meet the company’s financial objectives of profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and direct all aspects of restaurant operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation.

Maximize efficiency technology system(s). (ie. POS or other IT enhancement services.)

Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, ensuring our customer-focused employees are committed to high standards of performance, possess and maintain proper certifications, conducting coaching and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.

Recruit, interview and train team members

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.

Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly

Initiate and implement up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services and to maximize overall revenue, including, but not limited to, assisting with the creation of new food and beverage menus and specials.

Ensure a business culture that is positive for guests, meets company objectives, and provides a work environment that is energetic, supportive and productive for staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 3 years’ restaurant/bar experience, with preferred 1year GM full-service restaurant experience.

Strong Beverage knowledge, with preferred knowledge of the brewing process, beer styles, presentation, and dispensing.

Excellent customer service and sales skills– ability to turn negative situations into positives.

An open leadership style that enhances implementation of strategies and initiatives to elevate service, increase team member engagement, and drive revenue

Exceptional work ethic, critical thinking/problem solving skills, and personal character.

Strong organizational habits, communication skills, and professional judgment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
