We are looking to hire a personable Dental Assistant. To successfully perform the job responsibilities for the position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty favorably. We are looking for a self-starter who works well with little supervision. We need an individual with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form, and someone who will listen attentively to ensure accurate communication of information with patients as well as team members. It is essential that the individual has the ability to collaborate and demonstrate a positive outlook and teamwork approach to job responsibilities. A top-performing Dental Assistant will perform all duties in a manner that ensures the efficient running of the dental practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet, seat, and help patients feel comfortable while preparing for treatment.
- Take impressions, digital scans, and x-rays.
- Work chair-side with dentist for examinations and treatment of patients.
- Give patients instructions on postoperative and general oral health care.
- Process patient information and scheduling.
- Complete sterilization and disinfection of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare instrument trays for dental and hygiene procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Exceptional organizational, prioritizing, and multitasking skills
- Excellent chair-side manner
- A teamwork mindset
- Positive outlook
License & Certifications:
- X-ray Certified
- Certificate from an Accredited Dental Assisting Program
- Valid health care provider CPR/BLS Certificate
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge PMS Software (Eaglesoft)
- EFDA certified
