Official Job Description: General Construction Project Administrator

General:

The Morello Construction LLC position of “General Construction Project Administrator” (CPA) works directly with the owners of the company and project Superintendents to develop efficient, cost effective, plans and methods for the execution of a successful construction project. The CPA shall provide administrative and organizational support for projects from beginning to completion.

Position Overview:

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding construction company. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide contract administration and general support to multiple project stakeholders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, handling sensitive information, submitting and tracking project documents, project billing, processing change proposals and orders, ordering and tracking materials, soliciting quotes and more. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 22 years of age.

Must Possess a valid driver’s license.

Submit to, and pass, pre-employment drug screening.

Demonstrated abilities with Microsoft Office products and standard office machines.

Ability to understand and follow written/oral instructions in the English Language

Minimum Qualifications: Collegiate level degree in an engineering or construction related discipline or a minimum of four years of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities:

Complete documents for customer billing according to contract cycle.

Prepare close-out documents.

Perform project related clerical duties.

Analyze, forecast, and manage materials orders and equipment rentals.

Coordinate permits and regulatory inspections

Oversee equipment maintenance schedules.

Track project safety requirements and milestones.

Reconcile billing and invoices.

Submit project documents per contract and maintain project log.

Participate in project meetings from pre-construction through post-construction review

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of contract documents

Process contracts and change orders.

Maintain an accurate handwritten or digital project management system

Coordinate and distribute bonding and insurance information.

Ensure appropriate wage information is posted per law and regulation.

Evaluate, implement, and track employee training requirements.

Prepare project specific plans (waste management, accident prevention, quality control, etc.)

Identify, record, and present process improvements to company leadership

Assist with lodging/living arrangements for project locations outside reasonable commuting distance

General ability to read and understand construction plans.

Other responsibilities as assigned

Preferences:

Prior proven success in construction project administration or a related field; educational background in engineering, construction or related field; cumulative work experience in the construction field; experience in planning and organizing work projects, experiencing in diagnosing design and technical problems, knowledge of utility marking standards, documented, current, OSHA training.
