Logos is looking for a Fine Arts/ Theater teacher to fill one 79.17% FTE position for the remaining 2025-2026 school year. Start date would ideally be 01/05/2026. We will be able to comply with 60 day notice requirements if currently employed at another district.
This position is contracted annually and would be eligible for rehire in the 2026-2027 school year.
We will be posting this position splitting Fine Arts and Theater into two separate positions. Priority in hiring will be given to individuals interested in this combined position.
Individuals applying for this position must have a current Oregon Teaching License with an appropriate endorsement in Art or proof of a passing score on the ORELA Fine Arts Exam.
Art Portion of Position:
5 2-hour middle/high art classes
3 1-hour elementary art classes
Lead Instructor - High School Fine Arts (will involve grading portfolios at the semester for students doing independent art schoolwork)
Schedule:
Monday 9:40-2:10 p.m. (2 2-hour middle school art classes)
Tuesday: 9:40-2:10 p.m. (2 2-hour high school art classes)
Thursday: 12:10-2:10 p.m. (1 2-hour middle/high photography class)
Friday: 11-2:30 p.m. (3 1-hour elementary art classes)
Theater Director Portion of Position:
1 Middle/High Play to rehearse for weekly with performance expected in late spring 2026. This position is to direct the performance. There is a Theater Assistant Director already on staff who manages many of the clerical components of running a theater production.
1 Elementary Play to rehearse for weekly (Frozen JR) with performance expected in spring 2026. This play is already having weekly practice/rehearsals so you will be taking over mid-year for the current Theater director to manage the remainder of this play.
Schedule:
Monday: 2:30-4:30 p.m. (Middle/High Play Practice)
Thursday: 2:30-4:30 p.m. (Middle/High Play Practice)
Fridays: 9:45-10:45 a.m. (Elementary Play Practice)
Increased hours during tech week prior to performance and during performance week to ensure proper oversight of play production (20-30 hours per week across two weeks).
Salary/Benefits
Art portion of position: Starting salary is typically is between $28,765.66-$31,281.46/year based on degree level. Will increase with experience. Salary to be prorated based on start date (Estimated between $14,382-$15,640.73 for approximately half of the year).
Additionally there is a $7,250 campus class prep stipend for art classes that will be split in across two quarterly payments Q3 and Q4 ($3,625/quarter).
Theater portion of position: Stipend contract of $5,625
