We are seeking a passionate and dedicated preschool Teacher to provide support in our toddler and preschool classrooms. As a support Teacher, you will play a key role in nurturing and educating young children in a safe and stimulating environment. You will provide 10 - 15 hours of support to staff and children while other teachers are on break. Hours vary by day but generally fall between 9:00 - 1:30.
Relief teacher:
- Provide a safe and caring environment that promotes learning through play
Uphold and implement schools approach to learning and communicating with children, co workers and parents
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning
-Work with lead teacher and director to ensure all Children's World and state and local licensing policies are upheld.
- Communicate effectively with co workers
- Implement age-appropriate activities with co-teachers to stimulate the intellectual and social growth of children
Requirements
- Dept. of Early Learning and Child care Central Background registry clearance
- Completion of 4 online trainings from PSU
- Pediatric 1st aid/CPR
- Experience working with children, preferably in a certified child care or preschool setting
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for educating young children
