ZCS, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary Oregon A&E consulting firm that has served clients throughout the Pacific Northwest since 1978. As a Lead Architect you will ultimately leverage your in-depth knowledge of architecture and design, strategic thinking, collaborative skills, and strong communication acumen to manage projects through completion and develop construction documents. The responsibilities of this position include:
-Utilize knowledge and experience in the design of projects ranging from private residences to K-12 campuses and seismic retrofits of existing buildings to commercial developments.
-Manage project delivery and utilize staff in a team atmosphere to produce projects from concept through construction including project status monitoring, tracking staff schedules and workload, project deadlines, and completing projects on time and on budget.
-Lead project development through standard design processes (schematic design, design development, and construction documents).
-Review construction documents for compliance with applicable codes such as the International Building Code (IBC) and Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC).
-Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program required.
-8 years minimum post graduate architectural design experience in low to mid-rise buildings (Type V and Type III construction experience preferred).
-Must possess strong design skills and the ability to communicate design through drawings and 3D modeling.
