A privately owned, small boutique hotel in Ashland, Oregon is searching for a skilled, friendly and outgoing Hotel Front Desk Supervisor to lead day-to-day guest-service operations. This role calls for a hospitality pro who can coach a small team, protect service standards, and keep every arrival and departure seamless.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct, plan, and coordinate all front-desk activities to deliver prompt, courteous, elevated service.

- Train, coach, schedule, and document performance for front-office associates.

- Manage the full guest cycle—reservations, registration, payment, and check-out—with strict cash-handling accuracy.

- Enforce clear communication protocols between front desk, guests, and other departments; zero tolerance for poor service

- Respond swiftly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.

- Oversee reservations for transient, social, and group business; maintain expert knowledge of facilities, room types, rates, and packages.

- Organize front-desk workflows and introduce systems that keep staff on task.

- Participate in hiring, coaching, evaluations, and terminations as needed.

- Train associates on selling techniques, upsells, and current hotel promotions.

- Supervise housekeeping team and conduct room inspections to ensure top-tier cleanliness and turnover standards.

- Drive transient sales growth, assist with budget adherence, and create efficient staff schedules.

- Lead monthly staff meetings and handle other duties assigned by senior management.

Qualifications

- Any required governmental licenses/certifications for front-desk or lodging operations.

- Demonstrated knowledge of front-office procedures, PMS platforms, and night-audit basics.

- Strong leadership, organization, and time-management skills; highly detail-oriented.

- Sharp problem-solving abilities and calm multitasking under pressure.

- Professional appearance and polished verbal & written communication.

- Prior cash-handling accountability.

- Flexible availability—days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This is a part-time position that can move into full-time for the right candidate.
