This is an opportunity for an Entry Level Housekeeper to join a close-knit team dedicated to creating an outstanding guest experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Entry Level Housekeeper will be trained by experienced staff to learn and perform the daily cleaning responsibilities and assist in special housekeeping tasks when necessary. They should strive to provide an exceptional guest experience by remaining diligent and observant of all accommodations they enter, and behaving in a friendly and informative manner should they encounter any guests. An entry level housekeeper will strive to help promote the strong team oriented mentality we’ve developed, by always behaving respectfully and with a caring nature towards other team members. We promote constructive and positive feedback amongst staff to ensure a constantly improving and efficient work environment. It is through the development of outstanding staff that we create an exceptional guest experience.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and sinks
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Stock and organize housekeeping carts with cleaning supplies
- Respond to guest requests and ensure their satisfaction with the cleanliness of their room
- Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and towels
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (as required by OSHA and ADA)
- Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking and reaching.
- Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
- Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
- Must be able to carry loads greater than 20 pounds and exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
- Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
HOURS
- 9:30am-4:00pm
- Please note that this position is in a hotel setting and may require working weekends and holidays.
