We are a casual Filipino restaurant in Downtown Ashland and are looking for a few folks to join our small (but growing) team. The open positions are as follows:
1. Part time Counter Position
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately using the Square POS system
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting with menu selections
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area and dining room
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean and organized dining area
Skills and Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Familiarity with square register a plus
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be over 21
- Must have OLCC and Food Handlers certification
2. Part time Line Cook
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and efficient food production
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
- Follow all dietary restrictions and special requests from customers
- Lift 50 lbs occasionally
Experience:
- Previous experience as a line cook in a restaurant or food service establishment
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food presentation
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Skills and Requirements:
- Food safety knowledge and certification
- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques, including chopping, sautéing, grilling, etc.
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment
- Menu planning and recipe development skills
- Familiarity with the food industry and current culinary trends
- Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Must have valid Food Handlers card
3. Part time Dishwasher
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using the dishwasher or by hand.
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- Sweep or scrub floors.
- Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards and refrigerators
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is a plus.
