HIRING FOR PREP COOK

We are looking for someone to help with prep on Mondays & Thursdays at our off-site prep kitchen. 8 am - 3 or 4 pm (depending on prep load). Times can flex, but most important is that the entire prep list is accomplished before crew leaves. Normal days end around 3 or so, though sometimes sooner and sometimes later.

We're looking for someone who has:

Relevant experience (a must)

Knife skills, as well as the ability to follow recipes closely (imperative)

An easy-going personality and works well alone, and/or with a few consistent coworkers

Someone who can commit to working long term

A definite plus:

Baking experience (or desire to learn)

Someone with their own rig who can help transport food (MAJOR definite plus)

Note: our prep crew does all their own dishes. We may hire a dishwasher-specific position through busy summer months, but dishes are a major component of this job. You dirty it, you wash it, and we only want to work with folks who are cool enough to help out (and don't expect us to wash their dishes for them).

Pay is definitely DOE. The faster your hands work, the more money you make. We train at $15/hour for 2 weeks, then assess after we see speed, efficiency and basic kitchen skills.
