Job Summary:
Zi Spice is a brand-new café and bakery in downtown Ashland, off E. Main Street, serving bold sweets, small savory bites, real chai, and desserts with Mediterranean flair—all made with locally sourced, gluten-free ingredients.
We’re looking for warm, reliable, food-loving humans to join our opening team. If you’re passionate about food, love connecting with people, and want to be part of something vibrant and community-focused, we’d love to meet you.
We are especially seeking people who are comfortable wearing many hats: taking orders, assembling food and drinks, describing our offerings, maintaining a clean and welcoming space, and bringing positive energy into the shop. Ideally, we need 3 employees to fill out the schedule, who can do it all, but, we are happy to train.
Hours & Flexibility:
We’re open 4 days/week with morning and afternoon shifts. Flexible part-time or full-time roles available (20–35 hours/week depending on your availability and fit).

Duties:
Greet customers and guide them through our unique menu
Serve chai, coffee, pastries, sweets, and small savory dishes
Assemble food and drinks (think simple, beautiful, high-quality prep)
Handle transactions with accuracy and kindness
Keep the space sparkling clean, organized, and inviting
Engage with guests and build a welcoming, inclusive community vibe
Help with occasional pop-up events, markets, or collaborations

Requirements:
Friendly and dependable
Experience in food service or cafés preferred but not required
A love of bold flavors, chai, and quality ingredients
Ability to multitask in a small team setting
Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Open to feedback, growth, and collaboration
