Behavior Support Specialist needed to work in Community Based Care Settings to help providers focus on changes that can be made by the caregiver or within the personâs environment to reduce behaviors that may be jeopardizing a clients placement. Specialist will utilize observation, interviews and environmental assessments in order to complete a Person Centered Evaluation and a Behavior Support Plan to help caregivers create or maintain a positive relationship with the client(s) they serve. The Behavior Support Specialist will teach providers through coaching and modeling, how to implement and revise the Behavior Support Plan as needed. The specialist will work in ALFs, RCFs, MCC's, AFH's and independent living situations. Experience working in long term care settings REQUIRED. Must have at minimum at BS degree. PT - FT hours depending on referral numbers. Some travel required as successful candidate will work in both Jackson and Josephine Counties. Email cover letter and resume to employer.
