We are currently hiring for Direct Support Professionals-Area Relief in Jackson/Josephine Counties. A primary purpose of the DSP-AR is to assist people who need support to lead self-directed lives and to participate fully in our communities and nation. The DSP-AR is generally utilized when there are long term openings or there is a need for additional staff. It is the role of the DSP-AR to provide a feeling of reassurance, stability, and support to the team members and people supported. They are role models, mentors, and ambassadors to the team members they work with and people they support. Wages start at $16.00/hour, $17.00/hr after 6 months, $18.00/hr after 1 year in the position (some locations offer a differential of $1.00, (up to $19.00/hr)). Work schedule varies in days/times/location Friday-Sunday are your required working days, you will receive your schedule at least 2 weeks in advance from your supervisor (with 2 non-weekend days off (Mon-Thur as available). You will also need to provide on-call support for 1 week every 4 weeks.

You Must (requirements):
Be at least 18 years old.
Must have a minimum of 1 year of direct care experience.
Pass a pre-employment drug test for the use of illegal drugs.

Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Be able to be certified with/Individual Focus certificate in Oregon Intervention System.
Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.(Click here for driver eligibility guide.

Be able to attend a two week orientation located in Grants Pass (M-F, generally 8AM-5PM), however we may be flexible with prior communication.
