Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a versatile individual to fill an immediate opening for a full-time position that combines the roles of Delivery Driver and Shop Worker. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of our products to various project job sites. You will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles, delivering products efficiently, and providing outstanding customer service. As a Shop Worker, you will be part of a team that manufactures finished casework and millwork products from raw materials. The ideal candidate is someone adaptable, and ready to support various tasks across our business operations, from manufacturing to on-site installations.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to and from designated
locations, this includes a 26-foot-long truck.
Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times.
Verify the accuracy of delivery orders before departure and upon arrival.
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including friendly interactions and
timely responses to inquiries.
Occasionally stay overnight when making out-of-town deliveries if the distance requires it.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance and notify management of any issues or concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
Basic shop work, including working with shop tools, moving materials, cleaning
cabinet parts, general shop cleaning, and organization.
Attaches cabinet hardware and prepares cabinet parts for assembly.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and good communication skills.
Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work independently.
Must be dependable, punctual, and have great teamwork skills.
Must be available to work full-time hours (40) every week.
Must have the physical stamina needed to lift items between 50-100 lbs.
Must be able to spend long periods on your feet.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must have the ability to drive a truck with a manual transmission.
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift experience.
Previous experience with power tools.
Previous cabinet fabrication or carpentry experience.
