Who We Are
Grapplers for Autism is a mission-driven nonprofit focused on building inclusive opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum through the discipline, community, and empowerment found in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Through events, outreach, and ongoing support, we foster confidence, connection, and growth.
We also operate aligned initiatives and subsidiaries under the leadership of Brian Whitaker—each working toward the common goal of creating community-driven support systems and programs that change lives through movement, mentorship, and purpose.
Our collective mission is about more than sport—it’s about giving athletes of all abilities the opportunity to thrive.
Who We're Looking For
We’re seeking service-minded leaders who are passionate about giving back and committed to helping us grow the reach and impact of our mission. Ideal candidates include professionals who are:
● Passionate about development, autism advocacy, and inclusive sports
● Professionals with experience in areas such as:
○ Nonprofit leadership or governance
○ Legal, finance, accounting, or compliance
○ Fundraising, sponsorships, or community development
○ Healthcare, education, or therapy services
○ Martial arts, fitness, or adaptive sports programs
○ Marketing, public relations, or brand strategy
