Logos Public Charter School is looking to hire a "Logos Scholars Academy Specialist" for our college program. The Logos Scholars Academy partners with Rogue Community College to send high school students to college to get dual high school and college credit. The role of "Logos Scholars Academy Specialist" works under the Logos Scholars Academy Director to advise students on coursework needed to reach academic goals.
Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
- Bachelor's degree in any subject. We are willing to consider candidates who are in process for their Bachelor's degree. The candidate must be halfway to their Bachelor's with a specific written plan to complete their degree no later than 06/2026.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday during school hours (8:30-4:30 p.m.)
- Job offers are contingent on a candidates ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and sexual misconduct disclosure release.
Salary/Benefit Information
- Salary is $47,800-$52,000 starting for candidates with a Bachelor's degree depending on experience. Bilingual candidates in English/Spanish will be given a $2,500.00 increase to the baseline salary. Candidates who are in-process for their Bachelor's degree will receive 95% of the above baseline salary depending on experience.
- Health Insurance - $10,320/year towards any combination of medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and life insurance offered by Logos.
- H.S.A - $3,000/year if selecting an HSA eligible health plan
- PERS - Employer pays employee contribution to PERS on behalf of employee - 6%
- Vacation/Sick Time - 8 Hours vacation, 8 Hours sick time given each month
- Paid Holidays - Approximately 10 per year
- Summer Hours (still paid full salary) - Summer hours begin upon the completion of the academic school year and are as follows. June (often beginning the week after the last day of school) hours are Monday-Thursday 9-4 p.m. (28 hours/week). July hours are Monday-Thursday 9-4 p.m. (28 hours/week). August hours are Monday-Friday 9-4 p.m. (35 hours/week) until the first day of school. Please keep in mind these hours are variable based on the needs of the school and are not formally written into anyone's contract. All salaried contracts assume 40+ hours/week 52 weeks of the year. Historically, these summer hours are the trend.
Job Description
- Develop and maintain the Logos Scholars Academy program;
- Advise high school and college course selection with Half-time and Full-time Scholars to achieve educational goals;
- Collaborate with ESs and students on course selection for Quarter-Time Scholars;
- Maintain regular open office hours;
- Work with ESs and applicable Logos departments;
- Develop and maintain all forms of LSA communication
- Partner with RCC and SOU instructors and departments to develop LSA;
- Attend professional conferences as requested;
- Network with professionals to learn about careers;
- Coordinate college fairs, informational meetings, and community service events
- Maintain charter school registry - will be jointly applied for with the Logos Business Manager upon completion of the candidate's Bachelor's degree
- Other duties as assigned by the Logos Scholars Academy Director.
