We’re looking for a high energy, dynamic and experienced Express Lube Manager to lead our team and drive customer satisfaction and sales growth.
Job Overview: As the Express Lube Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, including managing a fresh team of Entry level Lube Technicians and Service Writers. You will also be an active service writer, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. You will use your automotive expertise to provide exceptional service, resolve customer issues, and implement effective sales strategies. Strong leadership, customer service, and sales skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of 8 to 10 technicians and service advisors.
Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Customer Service:
Greet customers and assess their service needs with a focus on delivering excellent service.
Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
Ensure all customer interactions are handled with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
Service Writing:
Write and process service orders, ensuring accurate descriptions of services needed and performed.
Provide clear explanations of recommended services and repairs to customers.
Maintain thorough documentation of services and transactions.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Drive sales by promoting additional services and products to customers.
Implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Analyze sales data and adjust strategies to improve performance.
Operational Efficiency:
Oversee daily operations to ensure services are performed efficiently and to company standards.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain stock.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in automotive service or repair, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Skills: Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
Sales Abilities: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
Automotive Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, services, and repair processes.
Leadership: Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with service writing, dealership scheduling software and dealership document management systems.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive technical training or certification preferred.
