Description:
As a Night Shift POD Technician, you will provide preventative maintenance on Blackstone Publishing Print Production machines. Daily cleaning and preventative maintenance of our machines will be your main responsibilities, but in down times also providing help as needed on our print production floor.
Primary Responsibilities:
Minor maintenance of Machines (Training Provided)
Super Stickers
Vacuum/Blowout, Cleaning glue/grime build-ups
Greasing/oiling, Tightening screws/bolts on high movement parts, Minor part Replacements
Binders
Vacuum/Blowout, Cleaning glue/Grime Build-Ups, Emptying dust collector
Greasing/oiling, Replacing cutter blades, Glue/Cleaner Purges through glue system, Minor Part replacement
ยท Helping Production Floor as needed
Loading Book blocks (under 50lbs)
Monitoring and quality checking the print production line
Working the Book Binder and Hardcover machines
Producing Hardcovers
o Printing and labeling finished titles
Requirements:
Mechanical Mindset
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and take initiative within task assignments
Able to adapt to quickly shifting priorities and deadlines
Ability to meet attendance guidelines
Experience on office equipment a plus, but not required (Operating/Repairing)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
