Looking For Experienced Video Editor (Final Cut Pro) (Talent)

Vacancy expired!

We have a growing medical education company that features online "whiteboard" style, (10-15 minute) videos: MedCram.com

We're looking for an experienced video editor that uses both Final Cut Pro X and has a portable Apple computer (for in-person meetings).

Most of your editing work could be done from home with a flexible schedule.

If you're interested in medicine/ medical topics, you will pick up a lot of info in the process!

The editing process for our videos is fairly basic and features simple transitions, audio adjustments and clean up (cutting out mistakes, long pauses, etc), and basic visual framing and enhancement, and simple text annotations.

We're looking someone with at least 2 years of Final Cut Pro X experience who:

- Is efficient with their time

- Very detail oriented and organized, and produces finished work with excellent timing etc. that matches our brand. In other words, after the initial training, we don't want to have to provide a lot of oversight or correct recurrent mistakes.

- Reliable and honest with their hourly billing.

- Interested in a long-term contract (we don't want to train someone who is looking for a short-term temp job).

We would meet in person as needed for training (reviewing techniques/style to match our brand), and to transfer video files etc. In-person meetings would be at a coffee shop or my home office. The rest of your editing work would be from home.

If you'd like to apply, please submit the following:

- A resume

- A description of your experience with Final Cut Pro - The more detail the better.

- Please review at least one of our videos at MedCram.com and comment on the video you watched and why you think your skill set is a good fit for editing these videos.

- A least one reference (more is better) of someone who you've done video editing work for.

- If you have any work samples (links to videos you've edited) that would be helpful.

- Your desired hourly rate or range.

- Please answer the questions: Do you see this as a potential short-term, medium, or long-term job and why?

- Do you have any medical experience or interest?

Thank you!
