Construction Project Manager

Moore Construction has been providing custom wood framing services in the Rogue Valley for over 20 years. Today we are the largest framing subcontractor in Southern Oregon, with multiple crews throughout the valley serving primarily commercial and prevailing wage jobs.

We have a team of respectful, professional and skilled people who take pride in their work. We're currently hiring for a Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the build process, a strong aptitude for computer literacy, experience working in a professional environment, and able to represent the company and its processes to employees and customers alike.

Project Manager Duties

1. Project Planning & Coordination

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation (tools, manpower, equipment).

Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.

Ensure all projects begin and finish on time, within scope, and within budget.

Oversee shop drawings and production of steel and wall panel fabrication.

2. Team Leadership and Management

Lead and manage a project support team, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.

Provide guidance and support to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Conduct regular team meetings to review project progress, address issues, and implement solutions.

3. Quality Control and Compliance

Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications and trade specific best practices in wood framing and steel fabrication.

Resolve any issues, discrepancies, and conflicts that arise during construction promptly and effectively.

4. Budget, Schedule, and Cost Management

Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring manhours and material costs are controlled and financial objectives are met.

Approve and track project expenses and materials purchases.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve project profitability.

5. Communication and Reporting

Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team leaders.

Provide regular project updates and status reports to operations director and clients.

Address client inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.

6. Risk Management

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Proactively address and resolve any issues that may impact project timelines, quality, or budget.

Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and cost recovery of all project-related activities and changes.

Project Manager Requirements

3+ Years' experience in construction field or office experience.

2+ Years' experience in project management or project engineering.

Strong computer aptitude and troubleshooting skills on Microsoft Office suite of programs, especially Excel.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Fluent in English with excellent, professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Able to safely navigate job sites in varying site and weather conditions.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
