Moore Construction has been providing custom wood framing services in the Rogue Valley for over 20 years. Today we are the largest framing subcontractor in Southern Oregon, with multiple crews throughout the valley serving primarily commercial and prevailing wage jobs.
We have a team of respectful, professional and skilled people who take pride in their work. We're currently hiring for a Staff Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, be physically fit, and possess the necessary skills to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on our fleet of equipment and vehicles.
STAFF MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on telehandler forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and Chevrolet pickup trucks.
Perform repairs and troubleshoot hydraulic systems on various equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment, both in the field and in the shop.
Clean and lubricate machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Perform moderately advanced repairs, including welding, both in the field and in the shop.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Operate computerized testing technologies to diagnose issues.
STAFF MECHANIC REUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment environment.
Possesses their own basic mechanic tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to crawl under equipment in the field and lift heavy tools.
Proficient in welding and fabrication.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a drug screening.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with computerized testing technologies.
Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
