Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Monmouth, Oregon. This role involves daily accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. This includes bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with payroll, among other duties.Responsibilities: Assist with daily accounting duties to ensure a smooth operation of the finance department. Manage the processing and recording of accounts payable and receivable transactions. Carry out bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy. Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and to maintain financial records. Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close procedures. Assist with payroll functions as needed to ensure employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain the general ledger to keep financial information accurate and complete. Conduct regular audits and assist in the preparation of financial reports. Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes within the company. Ensure all financial operations align with company and industry standards.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and management Ability to create and manage Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures and tasks Proficient in using QuickBooks accounting software Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations.
