Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:The position reports to the Vice President Operation, for SAMG with direct reports of Practice Managers for the assigned areas of the physician network.The position will have a Dyad relationship with the Medical Director team. The position has responsibility ranging from day-to-day operational workflow, development of services, and development of relationships with internal and external customers, financial management and participation in strategic planning. Partners with the Executive Medical Directors regarding strategy for the clinics.The Director of Operations will be responsible for all employed medical groups in Baker City and support outreach of Idaho based specialties: ED, FP, Orth, Gen Surg, cardio, oncology and the expansion of existing Urgent Care and Occ Med Outreach to rural communities Would be responsible for all primary care and Urgent care services at the Fruitland Health Plaza and support in the rebuilding of PC in Ontario Acquisitions New Clinic development Lead in the support of facility rationalization for the Ontario ambulatory campus Partner with Liaisons to ensure referral sources are aware of services being provided to both communities Support in recruitment; interviews/dinnersSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must possess knowledge normally acquired through completion of a master’s degree in business or healthcare related field, with twelve (12) or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience .Must have working knowledge of hospital operations and experience working closely with physicians in a dyad fashion. 7-10 years of experience in developing, overseeing or interacting with physician groups, product lines, managed care and/or business development activities, in a large, complex, healthcare organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Executes successfully the established plans and the services for the areas of responsibility within the physician network through analysis, measurement and monitoring, reporting, and adjusting the direction, allocation and utilization of available resources. Facilitates and manages team culture and performance through the effective use of process improvement techniques, business and financial knowledge and skills, and interpersonal communication.Partners with the Executive Medical Director and Director of Provider Contracting for all contracts and contract renewals. Effectively builds positive and productive relationships with physicians and providers that promote working together on strategic, financial and operational goals. Works collaboratively with clinic and departmental medical staff leadership in the strategic and daily operations of the clinics or departments.Understanding of and commitment to patient centered health care. Knowledge of state and federal health care regulatory requirements. Excellent knowledge of health care business practices and work processes. Excellent knowledge regarding budget development and financial monitoring, indicators and performance. Demonstrated ability to develop productive and positive relationships with physicians. Strong knowledge and experience in developing teams across a diverse group of people.Ability to make clear and concise presentations at formal meetings; excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to develop departmental goals and work plans to meet organizational strategic initiatives. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, employees and the general public.Proven ability to initiate operational assessments, develop a plan for improvement and implement with involvement of staff, physicians and providers.
