QUALIFICATIONS

Positive, upbeat and energetic individual, who has strong leadership abilities, customer service and cash handling experience (minimum of 2 years experience)

Knowledge of the Oregon Bottle Bill

Strong verbal communication skills and computer literate

Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on all RC equipment required to safely operate RC

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs. and stand for several hours a day

Must be available to work a flexible full-time schedule, including days, nights and weekends on a regular basis.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Customer Service Associate II is responsible for delivering superior customer service to all customers of BottleDrop Redemption Center in a friendly and professional manner while maintaining the appearance of the Redemption Center and surrounding area. Support On-Site Supervisor and management to deliver a safe and positive work environment by consistently demonstrating and following protocol and policies as outlined in handbooks and training. Effectively and professionally communicate with team, management, customers and internal departments of OBRC. Be familiar with OBRC handbook and BottleDrop Policy and Procedures. Track and report daily activities of Redemption Center by using proper forms and procedures. Properly and effectively operate all equipment on site. Complete all tasks assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS

Customer Service - Assist our customers by introducing them to the features of BottleDrop Redemption Center, including the EZ Drop system, Pay Station, Retailer kiosk, getting payment slips, bags/tags, hand-count policies, Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) and daily limits.

Positively reflect our company values, goals and vision to customers and employees.

RC Cleanliness - Maintain the appearance of the facility and its surrounding area including the parking lot, break room and rest rooms to company expectations through regular inspection and cleaning. This includes regular sweeping, mopping, wiping down counters/machines/conveyors, dusting, windows/doors, properly storing supplies, and overall cleanliness. Ensure the proper supplies are on-hand at all times to conduct daily operations.

RC operations - Efficiently and accurately complete all daily paperwork, processing of materials, cash handling responsibilities, opening and closing procedure checklists and directing and delegating staff as needed.

Safely operate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment and redemption center tools. Consistently wear proper PPE at all times and areas where PPE is required.

RC PIC responsibilities leadership responsibilities when On Site Supervisor is off site.

We have amazing supervisors that are here to train you! We’ll teach you cleaning, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of Redemption Center equipment, including an electric pallet jack. And most importantly, we’ll train you to do it all safely.

One more thing, we require a pre-employment drug screen for amphetamine/methamphetamine, barbiturates, cocaine metabolite and opiates. We recognize that marijuana is legal in the state of Oregon, so it is not included in the drug screen.
