Fort George Brewery + Public House runs three restaurants on a city block in historic, downtown Astoria, all of which use only our homemade buns and breads, and we are looking for another member of our baking team! Our ideal candidates are self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working team-players who want to grow with us; opportunities abound in our fast-paced, fast-growing company. Experience is great, but we can train the right person to excel.
This position produces the delicious, homemade buns, breads, and baked goods that our seasonal menus rely upon. They're lone wolf yeast wranglers, wielding the flames of our wood-fired oven through the darkest hours of the night to create gluten majesty in its purest form (except for maybe beer). This position works traditional baking shifts, beginning late at night and finishing very early in the morning, so their breads hit the kitchen line as fresh as possible.
