Currently, are seeking a qualified Equipment Operator for our log yard and to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Eugene, Oregon.
About The Position
Operate frontend loader to load/unload log trucks
Sort logs by species and feed logs to the sawmill
Climb ladders on heavy equipment and operate machinery
Operate shovel to build and break down log decks
The work is fast paced and can, at times, be demanding
Repetitive lifting and working in both hot and cold work environments
Work may consist of various shifts with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times
Train to operate water truck, skid steer, chainsaw, and pedestal mounted shovel
Qualifications
2 years’ prior loader/shovel operating experience preferred
Proven ability to recognize and sort logs by species
All applicants must be at least age 18
