This position is our in-house mechanical specialist and oversees all preventive/ongoing maintenance, all repair, and functional operation of all current and future boilers, refrigeration, HVAC systems, and other mechanical systems and equipment across all Fort George facilities. The Facilities II incumbent carries an extremely in-depth knowledge of and passion for mechanical and HVAC systems, and brings that experience and expertise to bear keeping our operations running and our systems operating efficiently and consistently.Varying schedule is typically M-F but will intermittently include weekends, evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

Essential Functions:
Performing all multi-skilled maintenance functions including but not limited to:
Refrigeration: Thermostat operation, evap coils/drain pans/fans, condensate lines, condenser coils and fans, contactors, capacitors, low voltage wiring and electrical, piping and insulation, leaks and suction lines, covers, cleaning and gaskets, and walk-in cooler operation etc.
Heat pumps: Thermostats/batteries, filters, electrical, blower wheels, indoor evaporators, condensate drain pan and pumps, indoor fans, strp heat, duct work and static pressure, outdoor condensers, capacitors, contactors, refrigerant and leaks, piping and insulation, corrosion mitigation, condenser motors, cleaning and reversing valves, system cycling and defrosting, etc.
Ice Machines: Water system pressure, temperatures and wiring/controls, corrosion mitigation, thermistor placement, water distributors and hoses, water reservoirs, water sensor/float system, cleaning circulation, evaporator plates clean/free from buildup, sanitization, system flushing, condenser coils, cleaning/replacing air and water filters, storage bin cleaning, general cleaning and cycling, etc.
Gas-fired Water Boilers: Date plate extraction, air openings, pressure/temp gauges, vent piping, air piping, relief valves, condensate drain systems, auto air vents, boiler piping, combustion analysis, water analysis, and steam traps, etc.
Chiller Systems: Glycol pressure/levels/mixtures, fan function and amps, pump rotation and amps, condenser integrity and cleanliness, fan switch settings, hi/lo cutout functionality, flow switch functionality, t-stat functionality, time delay functionality, a-relay/sequencer functionality, oil levels, refrigerant charge, greasing motors, contactor functionality, breaker functionality, subcooling inspections for all terminations, TXV bulbs, insulation and cosmetic integrity, capacitors, cap tube silicon, etc.
Troubleshooting equipment issues & fixes, and responding to calls for maintenance & repairs in a timely manner > prioritizes work flows and issues based on the needs of the business in any given set of circumstances
Communicating repair/maintenance progress updates to department heads and managers as needed
Being able to operate all necessary tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Ensuring a safe workplace for incumbent and surrounding team members by complying with all company SOPs/best practices and state/federal safety standards
Setting preventive maintenance schedules, maintaining maintenance logs & software
Acting as lead point person for contractors and vendors as needed
Assisting other facilities maintenance staff as needed for maintenance and repair of all other major facilities infrastructure, i.e. sprinkler systems, compressed air systems, electrical systems, general plumbing and miscellaneous repairs
Continued education in relevant manufacturing equipment and systems maintenance
Evaluating and improving pre-established processes in order to promote safe working conditions & practices
Other duties assigned by supervisor(s)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Ideal Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Significant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required (preferably food/beverage or CPG)
Strong mechanical competency, basic math competency
Knowledge of all MRO (maintenance, repair, & operating supplies) items (bearings, sprockets, chains, sensors, motors, gear boxes, o-rings, cylinders, pumps, condensers, etc.)
Boiler certification required
EPA Section 608 certification for refrigeration required
Brazing certification from ORACCA required
Ability to operate independently or as part of a team, and follow both written or verbal instructions
Ability to communicate with coworkers in a high-noise environment
General knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions associated with tasks
Must possess Forklift Operator’s certification (may be obtained within first 15 days of employment); must be able to safely operate brewery equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
Must be able to adapt to frequent changes in workload and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
