Working Conditions:

-Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 100 lbs.

-Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending and kneeling.

-Must be able to safely work with sharp tools and power equipment.

-Heavy use of one or two hands with repeated movements of fingers, grasping, moving, or assembling objects.

-Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. Carpenters work indoors and outdoors on many types of construction projects. Carpenters may work in cramped spaces and frequently alternate between lifting, standing, and kneeling.

-Required to lift 50 pounds without assistance.

-May work at extreme heights, such as when climbing on roofs or ladders or in uncomfortable positions.

-Required to wear protective attire, such as knee pads, hearing protection, gloves, and/or safety goggles. May be exposed to hazardous equipment, such as various machinery or tools to move, measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials.

-Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

-Occasionally exposed to contaminants, such as insulation materials, paints, and solvents. Occasionally exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. May be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors. Indoor locations may not always have heating or air conditioning.

-Frequent travel from job site to job site.

-Occasional social contact with customers or office staff.

-Must be sure all details are done on the jobsite, and their work is exact so that customers are satisfied. Must meet strict weekly deadlines.

-May be required to use electronic devices regularly to perform the duties of a job, including cell phones, iPads, or computers.

Usually work a minimum of 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. May work longer hours to finish a job or meet deadlines. Hours can vary between 7:00am to 7:00pm or later.

Additional Requirements:

Must have some carpentry experience

Must have Maintenance experience like setting a toilet, hanging siding, unit turns, etc.

Be at least 18 years old

Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Be customer service oriented

-Excellent communication skills
