Parts Coordinator

Active Water Sports is seeking an experienced Parts Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong inventory control background and experience in the marine or automotive industry.

The primary role of the Parts Coordinator is to manage an appropriate inventory efficiently and cost-effectively to timely support service needs and build and maintain our retail parts and accessories business.

DUTIES:

Maintains an appropriate parts inventory so that service work can be completed in a timely and efficient manner

Achieves departmental volume and net profit targets

Maintains relationships with manufacturers and parts suppliers

Manages our business’ ordering process

Develops and implements strict inventory control processes including accounting for all parts that are placed on service work orders and limiting access to parts inventory

Ensures that all incoming parts are accurately added to inventory and orders are complete and all items accounted for

Maintains the integrity of our parts inventory by conducting regular cycle counts, correcting deficiencies and making accounting adjustments

Prepares orders by monitoring and maintaining minimum inventory levels and anticipating seasonal and other high-demand supply needs

Maintains a neat and orderly parts department

Greets parts and accessories retail customers in a prompt and courteous manner, eager to fulfill needs with a professional appearance and image

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)

Prior marine industry management of parts and/or service department experience preferred

Professional appearance

Ability to communicate at a high level, both verbally and in writing

Organizational and computer skills are required for this position

Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven

Have a valid state driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience, Overtime opportunities and Profit Sharing

Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift Monday to Friday
