St. Pius X School, located at 1260 NW Saltzman Rd., is seeking a dedicated Extended Care Teacher to work with kindergarten through 8th-grade students. This part-time position offers approximately 15-16.5 hours per week and requires a caring and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting students in their after-school activities. A teaching degree is not required for this position.
Responsibilities:
Assist students from kindergarten to 8th grade with their assignments and homework.
Provide a safe and supportive environment for students during after-school hours.
Engage students in educational and recreational activities, including games and creative play.
Supervise and coordinate various activities to ensure an enriching experience for the students.
Distribute snacks and ensure students' dietary needs and restrictions are met.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to provide updates on students' progress and
behavior.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience and understanding of children's needs and behaviors.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for students.
Flexible and adaptable to different situations and students' requirements.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Schedule:
Monday: 1:45 pm to 6:00 pm
Tuesday to Friday: 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm
