Academic extended care program in a Beaverton School District elementary school that serves K-5th grades is looking for a K-1 teacher for the 2024-25 school year. Experience with after school programs and particularly K-1 is a big plus.
EASY GIG! We need an organized and self-motivated individual who can provide a K-1 lesson plan that supplements the Head Teachers K-5 weekly curriculum.
PAY: $30/HOUR
START DATE: AUGUST 26, 2024
School year commitment is required (August 26, 2024 - June 10, 2025)
HOURS: 2:50pm - 6pm / M-F
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Help set-up and break down site.
Help monitor self-serve snack when students arrive.
Assist Head Teacher and PE Teacher with daily activities and lessons.
Provide a 15-20 minute lesson for K-1 students that supplements the Head Teachers weekly curriculum.
Generally, be a good human and play with kids.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
This is an extended care program that runs after the regular school day from 2:50pm-6pm when students have school.
You do not work holidays, breaks (Thanksgiving / winter / spring), or when there are no school days for the students.
You would need to be on site by 2:40pm to set-up before students arrive.
Reliable transportation a must. The school is not on a major public transit line/route.
Must be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry (https://oregon.gov/delc)
Must have or willing to obtain current certification in First Aid/CPR
Must have or willing to obtain current Food Handlers Card
