Rose Creative Preschool is currently hiring a part-time float teacher who would also be interested in substitute hours. We are a play based preschool located in the heart of the Hollywood neighborhood, with a wonderful small team of teachers in our two mixed aged classrooms of 3-5 year olds. We are open 8am-4pm Monday -Friday.
Part-time floater hours are available, 8am-12pm three days/week, as well as substitute opportunities. Substitutes may have planned days at the school and can also be on call to fill in for teachers as needed. Substitute positions can often lead to full or part-time employment if employees are interested in more longevity at our school.
We value teachers who are warm, engaging, work well in teams, and have knowledge of play-based environments. We believe in following the child's lead with our explorations in the classroom, and have an emergent curriculum that reflects the interests of the children.
Teachers must be teacher qualified (according to the Dept. of Early Learning and Care), with at least 6 months of teaching experience in an early childhood classroom. Substitutes and Teachers must have: Enrollment in the Central Background Registry, Food Handlers Certification, RRCAN, Health and Safety, Prevention is Better than Treatment, Foundations for Learning, and Infant and Child CPR/First Aid certifications.
