Preschool Teacher (Canby, OR)
Zoar Lutheran Preschool is looking for a Head Preschool Teacher for the next school year, 2024-2025. If you are available to start now, there is the option of working with the current teacher for the rest of the school year.
Zoar is a Christian preschool and we ask that any candidate be of the Christian faith and be willing to incorporate bible stories, verses, and songs in with the regular curriculum. Classes in early childhood education and/or preschool teaching experience is preferred. Candidate looking for long term is ideal.
Candidate must:
-Be able to plan daily, weekly and monthly lesson plans and prepare for them.
-Be mentally, physically and emotionally capable of teaching preschool children, showing competence, sound judgment and self control with children
-Display strong, positive interaction with the children in all areas, providing a supportive and caring environment for the children to learn and grow.
-Maintain open and cooperative communication with parents.
-Maintain accurate classroom forms i.e. check-in roll sheets, immunization forms.
-Follow all safety/security protocols.
-Have current child C.P.R. certification and first aid card.
-Must be in the Central Background Registry and pass a drug test.
The hours are generally M-F 8:30-12:30 September-May, with additional time spent for planning and prepping in August. Some evening hours required for Christmas program, graduation and parent nights. Paid Christmas and Spring Break and major holidays.
