We are currently hiring Teachers for many of our programs throughout the district, including schools in N, NE, and SE Portland.

Job Responsibilities:
A Teacher will work in the program supervising aides and volunteers. Responsibilities include assisting the Lead Teacher or Site Director in maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community.
Required Qualifications:
Pass a YMCA Background Check
20 credit hours in Education or related field or at least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care/school facility.
Meet all teacher standards as dictated by the state Child Care Division.
Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment.
Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
