Our Vancouver based Civil Engineering company has an immediate opening for a Civil Designer with 3 years minimum of CAD experience. Compensation dependent on skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans
- Utilize CAD software to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings (depends on experience)
- Collaborate with design teams to develop drawings meeting project requirements, code, and standards
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from owner, project managers, and design team
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including site plans, permits, utility apps.
- Maintain organized records of all drawing revisions and related documents
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technologies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a drafter or similar role
- Proficient in CAD software
- Experience with civil design principles and techniques
- Familiarity with Civil 3D software is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings
- Strong communication/coordination skills to collaborate effectively with design teams and engineers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
