CMT Surveying and Consulting has an immediate opening for a full-time Land Surveying Field Technician for our Damascus office. This is an entry-level position that provides the opportunity to learn on-the-job and build your career with a respected and talented team of professionals in a dynamic organization.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
No previous experience required but preferred
High School diploma/GED
Eager to learn
Willing to develop your skills with advancement possibilities
Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines
Ability to work as part of a team
Assumes personal responsibility for completing quality work
Typical job responsibilities include:
Keep survey truck stocked with supplies, organized, clean and maintained
Load/unload survey gear each day and keep survey equipment clean and maintained
Support Crew Chief as needed setting up/breaking down instruments, brushing line, taking field notes, operating robotic total stations, levels, and data collectors
Take organized, legible field notes under the direction of the Crew Chief
Recognize and be able to identify safety hazards
