We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and planning stages of complex engineering projects. In this role, you will set goals, manage budgets and timelines, ensure quality standards, and serve as a mentor to fellow engineers. You will be a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise while collaborating with clients, agencies, and sub-consultants to solve challenging design issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee engineering design and construction-related aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with QA/QC guidelines and company standards.

- Provide technical guidance to the team and act as a mentor by offering training and professional development.

- Manage project resources, budgets, schedules, and communication in collaboration with the Project Manager.

- Communicate with agencies, clients, and sub-consultants to identify design constraints, resolve issues, and advocate for client interests.

- Ensure projects stay within scope and are completed on schedule.

- Maintain and strengthen client relationships to support PCD’s continued growth.

Qualifications:

- 15+ years of civil engineering experience.

- Oregon Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

- Expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and grading complex sites.

- Ability to produce stamp-quality drawing sets per company standards.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project management.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and project complexities.
