Residential Architectural Plans Drafter - Exciting Role

Asset Partners Group, LLC is seeking a Residential Architectural Plans Drafter to support a real estate development client. This is an exciting opportunity to be instrumental in the overall project success.

This role will focus on drafting plans for single-family homes, multi-family projects (4–14 units), condominiums (4–14 units), and townhomes. Candidates must be familiar with the permitting processes and requirements of the City of Portland, City of Vancouver, and Clark County jurisdictions.

This role will be responsible for producing complete plan sets—from concept and design through to permit-ready documentation. This includes effective collaboration with local jurisdictions and internal teams, and a strong commitment to keeping projects moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare full CAD drawing sets, including site plans, floor plans, construction documents, as-built drawings, permit plans, demolition plans, redline revisions, structural layouts, elevations, foundation plans, cross-sections, roof plans, plumbing layouts, deck framing, and utilities.

Coordinate with licensed professional engineers as needed.

As needed, conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess conditions; incorporate creative and efficient design solutions.

Manage the entire permitting process—from initial application through responses to checksheet comments to final approval.

Maintain accurate documentation of project status and communicate effectively with ownership, project managers, superintendents, and clients.

Provide other business support as needed and as time permits.

Required Experience & Skills:

Minimum 4 years of experience in drafting of residential living design.

Demonstrated experience with residential home plans, condominium, and townhomes.

Strong knowledge of Portland and Vancouver residential building and zoning codes.

Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).

Proficient in design softwares, such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Highly detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Team player with initiative, professionalism, and integrity.

Pre-employment background check required.

Drug-testing required.

About Us:

We are a growing company with a collaborative, supportive team culture.

Compensation: Competitive and depending on experience, in the range of $80,000 to $90,000

Paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

Paid time off plan.

Schedule: M - F from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
