The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) will be part of the Saatchi & Saatchi account services team working on the Toyota retail advertising business in the Pacific Northwest.Duties Include:

Provide support in meeting preparation

Manage website support for client digital communication

Serve as liaison to Internal Operations Department and coordinating/ executing creative production activities and projects

Manage the advertising activities (creative, media, budgets, and production) for any markets he or she is assigned while serving as the primary contact with the Media Planner and Internal Operations for those Clients

Assist the Account Supervisor in budget-management and financials projects

Execute various market and media research/statistical projects

Assist in processing event Co-op submissions

Job Requirements:

Some degree of advertising agency experience is preferred as the job requires a high level of understanding of advertising principles and agency functions.

The position will require the AAE to build solid relations with other agency departments (Creative, Media, Traffic, Planning, and Finance) to help facilitate efficient day-to-day internal operations.

Some client contact will eventually be involved, and an understanding of the Client’s business is essential; the AAE will be required to forge positive relationships with their Clients through consistent contact and diligent client service.

Knowledge of integrated communications is preferred; prior experience in retail advertising and/or the automotive category is a plus, but not required.

The AAE post will require extensive proficiency in the use of computers and specific software.

High degree of professionalism:

Strong focus on accuracy, attention-to-detail, and timeliness is a must

Must be able to respond well under pressure

Communication:

Excellent oral/written communication skills

Ability to keep supervisors properly informed

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills:

Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to maintain productivity while working at an expedient pace

Attitude:

Must assume a high level of enthusiasm and an eagerness to establish a foundation for a career in advertising

Must be a self-starter: quick learner, intuitive, and proactive

Must have an outgoing and positive personality with a “nothing’s impossible” approach to daily tasks

Must take a “fresh” approach to the business bringing new ideas to each project and task

Computer Aptitude:

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe software and Keynote is a must
