Actalent Services is hiring a Technician for an opportunity to support a large automotive manufacturer. You will be a part of a team responsible for building prototype vehicles. If you have experience as a technician working with electrical systems, wire harnesses and have strong electromechanical skills, this job is for you.Job Responsibilities/Duties Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions Assist and perform vehicle build activities Build, modify, fix mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems Create/modify/maintain wiring harnesses and test the connections as required Check and verify operation of the electric and mechanical systems installed to the vehicles Assist in troubleshooting of any issues found Help troubleshoot any issues seen in the vehicle during verification Support issue resolution in conjunction with the rest of the team Document any issues found, and the steps taken to resolve the same Discuss and present any electrical and mechanical issues found during the entire lifecycle of the vehicle Assemble and install heavy cables on prototype vehicles Update vehicles with harnessing and electronic components Verify, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles electrical and electronic systems, and instrumentation Organize shop to provide simplicity in gathering parts and components for increase efficiency of the prototype wiring facility Help with build of prototype vehicle, installing brackets and componentsBasic Required Skills, Experience & Environment Understands diagrams and documentation of Low Voltage harnesses along with High Voltage cable assembly and routing requirements. Ability to test drive and diagnose issues in the mechanical and electrical systems. Assemble and repair Low Voltage harness with full understanding of specialty tools requirements Truck/ Automotive experience is a plus Mechanically inclined Minimum required tools for duties are provided Safety toe shoes are required Work takes places in a working shop atmosphere, fast pace and working on multiple projects at the same time.
