Crisis Triage CoordinatorJob Code:12635Location:Portland 04101Department:Crisis Intervention AdultFT/PT Status:Full TimeSummary:Provides crisis intervention and stabilization services to those individuals who are in a mental health or family crisis by facilitating communication between statewide call center and mobile crisis teams.Facilitates communication between the Statewide call center and mobile crisis program to provide efficient response to request for assessment. Determines need for face-to-face assessment and negotiates a meeting site for the individual and a mobile crisis intervention specialists. Sweetser responds to those crisis calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL: Facilitates communication between statewide call center and mobile crisis to provide efficient response to the request for crisis intervention. Develops and participates in implementation of crisis follow-up. In collaboration with the caller, determines the need for a face-to-face assessment and, if needed, negotiates a meeting site convenient for the individual that provides safety for all involved. Crisis Intervention Specialists are encouraged to provide service in the least restrictive setting that supports the comfort and dignity of the person served. Communicates directly with persons experiencing a crisis in order to assess mental status, current level of functioning, and the person’s wishes and goals for crisis stabilization May request protective custody interventions by law enforcement personnel in order to resolve potentially life-threatening situationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS: Persons with lived experience in the Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse system are encouraged to apply. Minimum of two years mental health experience. MHRT-C/CSP preferred Clean Driver's license.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Six years of directly applicable crisis intervention experience may be accepted in lieu of completed Bachelor's Degree.
