Description:Providence is calling an Assistant Food Services - Irvington Assisted Living Facility (1.0 FTE, Evenings) to Elderplace Irvington Village in Portland, ORThe working hours for this position are to be determined, however, it will include weekends.Applicants who meet the MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS will be sent a TEXT MESSAGE requesting additional information.We are seeking an Assistant Food Services - Irvington Assisted Living Facility who will provide attractive and nutritious meals to participants and guests by timely and accurate assembly of food service area.In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare beverages, garnishes and accompaniments for resident meals and assists cooks as instructed
Place utensils, food, and beverages on patient trays as dictated by menu and diet
Load and delivers carts to specified nursing units
Retrieve tray carts from nursing units
Load dishes into machine to be washed and unloads clean dishes and equipment into specified dispensers and stores in proper storage locations
Use safe food handling techniques in preparation, serving, and delivery of foods
Empty and washes tray carts
Clean and sanitize work area equipment
Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position includes:
Current Multnomah County Food Handlers Certificate
In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check may be required for this position based upon the location of the position. Fingerprinting may be required also.
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- GED
