Responsible for maintenance of payroll process documentation.
Administer time keeping records for all company employees.
Responsible for creating new earnings codes and managing the timekeeping system, personal time off (PTO) accruals.
Handle the set-up of new codes for State Unemployment Insurance (USI), and local codes
Process and distribute W-2 records.
Resolve payroll discrepancies.
Create payroll reports for management.
Working directly with payroll vendor to resolve any discrepancies or system issues.
Assist with auditing payroll reports on each payroll cycle to confirm proper wage, tax, and deductions.
Monitor the accurate processing of associate changes (transfers, promotions and terminations, etc.)
Ensure that payroll processes comply with internal and external rules, policies, laws and regulations
qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience processing "HIGH VOLUME" payroll
Working knowledge of payroll best practices
Custom to working in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
Proficient user of Microsoft Excel. (VLOOKUP, pivot table, SUMIF function, etc.)
