Available for Hybrid WorkSupplier Diversity is under the Supply Chain/Logistics Department of OHSU and has responsibility for developing the Supplier Diversity strategy, its operationalization and reporting of progress toward meeting the enterprise supplier diversity goals.The Supplier Diversity Procurement Opportunity Manager reports directly to the Director, Supplier Diversity & Supply Chain Analytics. Using information gained from the review of OHSU’s previous and current procurement activities, data mining of ERP, Contract Management, Marketplace and other disparate systems, the Procurement Opportunity Manager will work in a consultative relationship with the Sourcing/Contracting Group (CSG), Purchasing Services Group (PSG) and their customers to recommend sourcing strategies, which result in increased diverse supplier participation in the procurement process and development of Category Management plans. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Identification of opportunities to engage and use diverse suppliers
Support CSG/PSG in all sourcing activities to ensure a consistent approach to the inclusion of diverse suppliers and document those practices for compliance reporting
Monitor supplier relationships from contract inception through termination, document issues and opportunities to improve diverse supplier growth to best meet OHSU business requirements
Partner closely with internal business stakeholders to educate and drive inclusive sourcing practices
Managing the integration of supplier diversity strategies as a business and solution enabler
Draft briefing correspondence, develop and maintain internal templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other required documentations and processes
Report accurately and timely to appropriate Supplier Diversity project milestones including reporting out to OHSU leadership on creation of target & achievement to such targets
The selected candidate will support other concurrent program initiatives including market research, trend identification, data validation, and internal and external requests for information.
Procurement Data Mining:
Reviews plans, contracts, agreements, budgets, progress reports, termination schedules or other contract monitoring tools to identify areas of opportunity for diverse suppliers. Participates in supplier management process on an identified basis. In addition to understanding the procurement process, this person acts as an advisor to OHSU end-users by explaining OHSU’s Supplier Diversity Program goals and objectives.
Organizes and analyze data sets originating from ERP System, Contract Management System, in-house knowledge management system and third-party sources to identify opportunities and develop procurement recommendations and strategies in meaningful and interpretive formats for all audience levels.
Conducts reviews of supplier contracts to determine commercial useful function is served by diverse suppliers and that new diverse suppliers are seeing increased stability and capacity.
Monitors compliance with Supplier Diversity program requirements, reporting standards, and subcontracting goals.
Drafts program related reports and coordinates with Compliance
Administrator for data analysis
Supports the Director in the development of annual reports Has knowledge of applicable OHSU policy and procedure, Federal, State, County, District, City and public laws, codes, statutes, guidelines and requirements.
Consultative Customer Engagement:
Develop a consultative relationship with Internal business partners and CSG/PSG staff for assigned areas of responsibilities by becoming an integral part of those teams with curated diverse supplier opportunities and suppliers that have been pre-vetted for OHSU socialization.
Participates in business review process on an identified basis. Partner with existing diverse suppliers and customers to identify areas of growth, capacity building or mentorship toward increased business volumes and/or additional OHSU opportunities with diverse suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate or coordinate activities or projects, including the ability to identify business requirements, resolve issues, and build consensus among groups of diverse stakeholders.
Conducts market research and prime vendor opportunity assessments to identify diverse suppliers (Tier I and Tie2 II) who can add increasing value to OHSU’ Supply Chain to create better supplier relationships that exceed industry standards.
Process Improvement:
The Supplier Diversity office empowers employees to identify opportunities for process improvement. This includes identifying, evaluating and developing comprehensive plans of action and implementation for more efficient processes.

The Procurement Opportunity Manager will support the definition, development and monitoring of operational performance metrics which provide process performance visibility.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Eight years of Strategic Sourcing experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Experience:
Five years of experience with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (P2P, Contract, Sourcing, SRM, Spend Analytics,) as well as Third Party Risk management solutions.
Job Related Knowledge and Skill:
Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are required. This individual must have the ability to multitask and be able to manage stress from multiple sources. Presenting to large groups.
Education:
MBA, and/or advanced degree in a related field.
Experience:
Five years of Strategic Sourcing consulting experience from a national consulting company
Job Related Knowledge and Skills:
Comfortable leading large groups of diverse associates.
Certification or professional designation related to supply chain, contracting, purchasing or law.
Travel to OHSU's locations, training and conference attendance may be a part of this position. Physical location of office is at the Logistics.
