Hello!

Bar Carlo is a neighborhood restaurant serving scratch made food inspired by the flavors common to the Mexican-American border area of Southern California.

We are seeking a new crew member for 4 to 5 closing shifts per week.

We have a small crew, so everyone needs to be capable, clean, orderly, self-motivated and responsible in order for us to operate smoothly.

Because brunch pays the bills and we pool tips across the whole week, the closer needs to see beyond 'their shift' when it comes to prep and setting up for day service, as well as be able to cook eggs, with ease.

We are cultivating happy hour to increase night traffic, so the closer also needs to be adaptable, able to move from prepping to pushing out food when a rush hits while operating efficiently to avoid creating obstacles to the closing process, as we do not have a dishwasher on staff at night.

(We also host special events that the closer can expect to work directly with me on.)

If you work well alone even though you are accountable to a team, have good knife skills & respect for product, can juggle multiple tasks, are friendly enough to run food when your bartender is occupied and appreciate that the front of the house needs the back just as much as the back needs the front, please reach out.

I will be available for immediate interviews Wednesday, from 9 to 3, and Friday from noon to 5.
