Job description: Cook/Food Prep/Dishwasher - available Wednesday through Saturday Nights [6-12 hours per week]
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook/Food Prep/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong kitchen skills, and experience in food handling and meal preparation. Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing as needed
Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning, and assembling dishes
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas in compliance with food safety standards
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
Support catering events or special meal services as required
Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of shortages or issues
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and residents
Qualifications:
Prior experience working in restaurants or the food industry is advantageous
Culinary experience including knife skills and meal preparation is desirable
Ability to handle food safely and hygienically in accordance with health standards
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and cleanliness
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to various shifts or schedules as needed
