Counter Person/Barista

We are looking for full and part-time team members who are detail oriented, have an upbeat personality, able to multitask (fill multiple orders at once while being able to carry on a conversation with customers) and a positive working attitude.

We are seeking counter people with experience in customer service in the hospitality industry, barista experience, and/or short order line cooking. We are looking to fill opening, swing, and closing shifts Wednesday-Sunday with weekends required. The pay will be $15-$17 per hour DOE, plus tips.

Duties will include setting up/breaking down the coffee and service counter, taking and fulfilling customer orders, short order cooking which includes warming pastries and cooking and assembling sandwiches, making espresso beverages, running food and beverages, and light table service. Duties will also include scooping, portioning, and stamping in your down time. We are a small crew that relies on teamwork so there will be shared cleaning duties such as dishwashing and kitchen upkeep.

Requirements:

Must have or be able to obtain a current Oregon Food Handler’s Card and understand food safety standards

Must have or be able to obtain an OLCC Server Permit

Able to stand for extended periods of time

Dishwasher:

We are looking for a full or part-time dishwasher. Your responsibilities will include spraying and running the dishes through the dishwasher, drying, and putting away dishes. You will also be responsible for some side work which includes filling the water pitchers, emptying the bussing stations, and restocking plates, silverware, and glassware. In the downtime there will be small prep projects and cleaning projects. We are looking to fill Wednesday-Sunday with a range in hours of 8am-4:30pm. The pay will be $15 per hour, plus tips.

This is an entry level position with room for growth in the bakery if desired.
