Position: Experienced Barista – Snow Bunny Coffee
Type: Part-time
Compensation: $15.45/hour (based on experience) + Tips (Average $9 /hour, Totaling about $25/hour)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactive Communication: Engage with managers and team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
Expert Drink Preparation: Skillfully prepare a diverse range of espresso and coffee drinks to perfection.
Adherence to Standards: Follow established procedures, recipes, and guides, ensuring compliance with health, sanitation, and safety practices.
High-paced Efficiency: Thrive in a fast-paced setting, catering to the varied needs of our diverse customer base.
Sanitary Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to proper storage and shelf life guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to health, safety, and cleanliness regulations, including food safety and department organization.
Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrate knowledge and skill in handling various equipment, including Point of Sale systems.
Urgent Work Ethic: Work with purpose and urgency to achieve daily, weekly, and long-term goals.
Team Player Mentality: Embrace a collaborative approach, ready to pitch in wherever needed.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Customer Service Excellence: Exhibit a passion for providing outstanding customer service, leaving each customer feeling valued.
Flexible Availability: Must be available for early mornings and weekends.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, fostering positive interactions with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
Positive Energy: Maintain an upbeat and energetic attitude, even during early shifts.
Multi-tasking Mastery: Comfortably handle multiple customer requests and demands simultaneously.
Reliable Transportation: Ensure prompt and reliable transportation to and from work.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of barista and front-of-house experience.
Knowledge: Familiarity with proper coffee and tea methods, techniques, and industry standards.
Certification: Possession of a current Multnomah County Food Handler Card.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring quality in every aspect of service.
Passion for Quality: Share a passion for the food industry and commitment to high-quality products.
Time Management: Efficiently manage time to meet responsibilities.
Physical Ability: Lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally, stand during shifts.
